In November, 2004, the Rochester Institute of Technology
cross country team set out to run a continuous relay from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. A senior at the time,
I had the privaledge of running with the team on the 12 day, 3 hour and 48 minute adventure. Along the way,
we passed through 13 states. The landscape paintings here are inspired by the journey and the amazing scenes
we encountered. I keep the scale of these paintings small, so that they retain a spontaneity that I enjoy.
